If you watched the first season, and felt somewhat out of place but knew there was potential with the trio of Hammond, Clarkson, and Captain slowly, then you should give the second season a try as well. This time, it feels right. They found the right gear and it purrs like a lambo through a tunnel. The first season was far from bad, and if you are a huge Top Gear fan then you probably didn’t mind the awkwardness of a new setting, especially given all the action and antics provided by the three musketeers of the car world. But there is something about the second season that just feels like the ball is rolling, fast, and the momentum will only continue. Granted, this review is only based off the first episode because for whatever reason, amazon refuses to release the whole season at once like every other streaming ‘apps’. But there is no doubt that The Grand Tour, will be the new standard for you if you enjoyed Top Gear, and possibly even if you never watched Top Gear a day in your life (why and how you could live without it is beyond me, but good for you – ya made it). They did cover a little about the entire season, but it was in an awesome montage that will keep you wondering what’s next until it’s over. So glad Amazon picked these guys up for a new show. Take that BBC! Grand Tour is doing donuts in your parking lot and nothing you can do about it.

The Grand Tour Season 2 delivers like no other show currently on TV and/or Paid Streaming Services. I can honestly say I haven’t laughed or enjoyed any other TV show as much as I do The Grand Tour. Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May are a trio that can take anyone and make them laugh, entertain, and educate in a way that’s not seen anywhere else. This is more than a car show, this to me is an experience everyone should enjoy. It may just be me but it appears the trio are enjoying themselves more doing this show than the previous one they were on. I know they’re getting paid probably more but it looks to me more than that. This can be seen by watching previous shows they were on, the other show that I refuse to watch as it lost its appeal when the trio left. I look forward to watching future episodes and hope for all our sakes that it goes on past 36 Episodes in current contract.

Amazon this is for you, please for all that’s Holy and Merciful give them a blank check and let them and Andy continue to make wonderful entertainment.

    Ep-1
The first episode was alright. It’s great that they’ve dropped Celebrity Brain Crash. The new celeb. versus celeb. segment is fun, but I wished they had gone over the new track just a bit more before seeing the laps. I don’t mind their brash, politically incorrect jokes, but I still feel like there were a touch too many personal jokes and not enough said about the cars. Over season 1’s stumbles, it was marvelous. I didn’t cringe or look away, which is a welcome improvement, but sometimes I was a bit…uninterested. The film’s non-car segments went a little long, and conversation street was mostly about the injurious events of the previous year (I guess I was just hoping for a bit more car talk personally). If the rest of the season has a bit more motoring stuff in the shows I’d gladly give it 5 stars. Overall though, a good adjustment over season 1 so far.
    *Edit*
Ep-2: This episode was absolutely fantastic. I really loved every moment of it. Best overall episode of The Grand Tour, and felt like some of their better Top Gear work. Just…so happy after a bit of a rough first season. The magic remains.
